DO YOU FEEL HIDDEN AND UNNOTICED?
You are visible, yet invisible. People see past you. Your worth is always over looked. You feel you don’t belong. Sometimes, this stems from the fear of what you may become if seen and sometimes because you need to be protected from the enemies. Whichever way, God did not create anyone to be hidden rather He works on us to reach our potentials. If you are not seen or you are under the shadow of someone else, you are not alone. Prayerfully wait on the Lord to pull you out of your concealment.
When Moses was born, there was in place a decree to kill all the Hebrew women new born sons. But his mother found him irresistible and so she hid him. “When she could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with tar and pitch. Then she placed the child in it and put it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile.” (Exo 2:2-3 NIV). Moses was not born to be hidden – the enemy made a mistake.
Joseph was thrown into the pit, he was hidden. He couldn’t be kept there for long; he was sent far away and the enemies thought he had been erased forever. They later met him while he was on the mountain top and they were still in the valley (Gen. 37, 39-42). “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Mat 5:14 NIV)
David was meant for greater heights but relegated to the background by his family that it took Samuel’s question – “Are these all your sons?” to jog Jesse, David’s father’s memory. Samuel said, “Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives.” (1 Sam. 16:11c NIV) King Saul tried to send David out of sight but he failed because if you are destined for greatness, you are unstoppable.
Nehemiah was a cupbearer in far away Susa, a servant in the palace of King Artaxerxes of Persia when he had the desire to help out in Jerusalem. Nehemiah became the Governor (Neh. 5:14) Are you a servant in a foreign land? You are not overlooked or abandoned. You are still in God’s plan and nobody can deny you that.
The enemy can try to hide you, put you in pit, send you far away, or even try to kill you, this is the biggest lie ever. As long as you are in God’s plan, no one can stop you.
THE WORD: “Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and God!" (Psa.42.5.NLT)
