PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

DON’T BRING BACK YOUR ENEMIES.
When the Lord has driven back your enemies, do not bring them back otherwise the pain of the later will be grater than the former. “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him. If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.” (Exo. 23:20-22 NIV) So, the Lord drove away our enemies not by our power or by our might but by His Spirit.
Our greatest enemy is sin manifesting in different kinds of demon and or demonic attacks. Our enemies are the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, - the different demonic attacks, the constant pain in the neck and or thorns in the flesh. Then the blood of Jesus washed us clean and we promised not to look back. As long as we do not look back, we are safe and secured. It means we are paying attention to God’s warning.
“Do not let them live in your land or they will cause you to sin against Me, because the worship of their gods will certainly be a snare to you.” (Exo. 23:33 NIV) “If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, he will turn and bring disaster on you and make an end of you, after he has been good to you.” (Josh. 24:20 NIV) But are we listening? We have been delivered from eternal death, and from all the works of the flesh because we possess the power to defeat them all – the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Why do you want to trend like the world when you have Jesus? Why return to your vomit? “The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord, and for seven years he gave them into the hands of the Midianites.” (Judges 6:1 NIV) Is this what you want? Israel already defeated the Midianites, one of their numerous enemies but they were brought back to hunt them for seven years.
Know from today that you can resurrect your dead and defeated enemies if you keep falling into sin.
THE WORD: “Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.” (Jos.24.23.NIV)
