I HAVE GIVING YOU VICTORY OVER IT! - Devotional

PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

Feb. 20th, 2026

When the Lord puts your fear in the heart of your enemies, they tremble and your fear swallows them up even before you attack. The Bible says; “but they will be killed by their own swords, and their bows will be smashed.” (Psa. 37:15) provided you battle your enemies God’s own way.

What is God’s way?

Be strong and courageous, trust God and be obedient. Follow His lead and He will go before you.

Joshua discreetly sent two spies to the land of Canaan to spy the land of Jericho specifically. When the king of Jericho suspected this, he ordered a search for them and also invited Rahab, the prostitute, to demand the whereabouts of the spies. Rehab revealed to the spies: “I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, …..whom you completely destroyed. When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.” (Josh. 2:9-11 NIV)

God said to Gideon, “But if you are afraid to attack, go down to the camp with your servant Purah. You will hear what they are saying, and then you will have the courage to attack.”  When Gideon arrived, he heard a man telling a friend about a dream. He was saying, “I dreamed that a loaf of barley bread rolled into our camp and hit a tent. The tent collapsed and lay flat on the ground.” His friend replied, “It's the sword of the Israelite, Gideon son of Joash! It can't mean anything else! God has given him victory over Midian and our whole army!” (Judges 7:10-11,13-14 NIV)

You are afraid of the enemy, not realizing that the enemy is sorely afraid of you. You see yourself as powerless, the enemy sees you and trembles and does not want to have anything to do with you. Then you begin to wonder what you did wrong that your circle of friends are dwindling? God is fighting your battle.

THE WORD: “All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish.” (Isa. 41:11 NIV)
