THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF YOURSELF FLAGS GOD’S REJECTION. - Devotional

PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

Feb. 13th, 2026.

Why was king Saul rejected as king marking the end of his dynasty?

  1. Saul was vulnerable to people’s opinion.

  2. He crossed sacred lines offering sacrifice to God when he was not from the tribe of Levites.

  3. He frequently disobeyed God’s instructions

  4. He did not commit to repentance rather the pride that he was the king consumed him. (1 Sam. 13 and 15)

Why was Ishmael rejected as Abraham’s legitimate covenant heir?

  1. Because he was born through human effort and impatience rather than through the direct, miraculous intervention of God.

  2. Abraham listened to his wife (Gen. 17:19; 3:17)

  3. It is about God not about Abraham irrespective of his age.

Why did God deny Moses from entering the promised land?

  1. Because of his disobedience at the waters of Meribah, where he struck a rock instead of speaking to it as God commanded, failing to uphold God's holiness before the Israelites. The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you DID NOT TRUST ME ENOUGH to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.” (Num. 20:12 NIV)

Adam was banished from the garden because he sidelined God. The lies of the serpent became his truth in spite of everything God did for his safety and comfort.

Many kings of Israel and Judah were rejected because they chose idol worship to His true worship.

Many today speak of their achievements forgetting the power sustaining them. Many openly showcase themselves, they are seen, worshipped disguised as respect, flaunt wealth even though they were nobody before their ‘calling’. They forget God. “Although you were once small in your own eyes, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel.” (1 Sam. 15:17 NIV)

God is asking; ‘are you with Me or against Me?’

THE WORD:  “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” (Mat 12:30 NIV)
