PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

God never leaves us in darkness or in doubt of His intentions. This may be why the entire Old Testament is a foreshadow of things to come. There is no ambiguity in God’s promises, His instructions, warnings and His expectations. The choice to obey or not, is entirely yours. NO ONE CAN MAKE HEAVEN BY GOOD WORKS. If we work for our salvation, then salvation is not free. And if salvation is not free, then GRACE does not exist. If Grace is absent, then Jesus died for nothing.(Eph. 2:8-9)
The Ark of Noah was Grace, God’s provision for the people of that generation to escape His wrath or judgement. “God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.” (Gen. 6:12-13 NIV). But Noah found FAVOUR (Gen. 6:8). He believed God even when there was no ocean in sight to float the Ark. Do you believe God when He said Jesus is His only begotten Son? That Jesus is the only road to Him for our salvation? That Jesus is coming back to take His own to be with Him where He is? If you do, then you have found favour with God. You don’t have to see the ocean and or Jesus appearing in the sky. Trusting God and His word is it. Otherwise, you just called God a liar.
There was only ONE DOOR in the Ark. Jesus said: “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved,” (Jh. 10:9). Only one door then, only one door now. The door of the Ark was opened to all, salvation through Jesus is opened to all men. As people did not listen then (Mat. 24:38); people are not listening now. The flood came suddenly, the Son of Man will also come when we least expect Him. There was only one source of light in the Ark. The light came from above the Ark. There is only one source of light now, Jesus who came from heaven to earth (Jh. 1:9) Was the earth and the people destroyed by the flood? Yes. Therefore, the Ark did not make God’s judgement to disappear, it only provided a way of escape for those who believed. Likewise, salvation through Christ Jesus will not prevent the wrath of God but a way of escape.
CONCLUSION: YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN OF WATER AND SPIRIT (the Word and the Holy Spirit) (Jh. 3:5)
THE WORD: “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” (John 3:17-18 NIV)
