PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

God allows no one to oppress His own people. He demonstrated this protection throughout the scriptures especially when His own remain obedient. “He allowed no one to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings: “Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.” (1 Chron. 16:21-22 NIV) God strategically and surgically removes what hurts His faithfuls - even family members who hate you but pretends to love you.
How God secretly removes family members who hate us -
When your kindness becomes an open door for control, God sees the hidden intention of the heart - jealousy, envy, - and takes action to protect us. God allowed Joseph to be separated from his family. Paul was hidden in prison under house arrest from the vicious anger of the people.
God removes the people who disturb your peace. The Holy Spirit quietly moves us away from toxic relationships - gossips, lies - anything that pulls you away from joy.
God separates you for your calling and often that call is isolation (Abraham, Gen. 12:1-3)
God uses distance to heal your wound. Slowly peace starts to move. It is in that solitude that you begin to see yourself as God sees you. Moses ran to Midian. Elijah fled to the wilderness (1 Kings 19:11). It is healing, not loss but restoration.
God exposes conditional love through silence. You truly see who is who. The one who cares will check on you but users will not come after you. Jesus experienced it. When He fed them, they followed. When the free lunch stopped they thinned out. God wants us to stop begging for love. It is not punishment but purification.
God rebuilds you in isolation before restoration. David knew this - he spent years in the wilderness. Isolation was not punishment but preparation and absolute dependence on God. He learnt to worship God in that isolation.
God’s separation leads to divine alignment. When you walk with God, not everyone can walk with you. Ruth had to leave her homeland, met Boaz and this infused them into the Saviours lineage. Before alignment, there must be emptiness.
You give love, it is not returned. You try to hold the family together but then it falls apart. Look into Jesus’ life. When He started His ministry, He pulled large crowds that thinned out as He progressed to the end. A member of His team betrayed Him. His team leader denied Him. The people He came to love stoned Him. The Priests and elders of the temple locked Him out of His father’s house. You are not alone. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you.
THE WORD: “If you want to be my disciple, you must, by comparison, hate everyone else—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:26 NLT)
