PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

God promised to bless His own; those who are obedient and who diligently seek Him (Deut. 28:1-14). Jesus added: “No one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. (Mark 10:29-30 NIV)
How do you protect your blessings?
When God starts blessing you, be careful because every blessing comes with a test - a test of your heart, your wisdom and your discipline. There are some mistakes you must avoid when God starts lifting you up.
Do not be too quick to help people. The moment they see you doing well, they rush to you like ants rush to sugar. Be kind but be wise. Being careless with your blessing will drain you. Meditate on every request. Seek God’s direction and develop the ability to say no without guilt.
Do not talk too much about your blessings. When God is moving you up, move in silence. Do not rush to announce everything happening to you. Do not rush to announce it on social media. Don't boast about it. Not everybody is happy for you. Look before you leap. The more you talk about your progress the more you attract enemies. Silence protects you - your peace and your plans.
Do not get too comfortable. Many people are doing well today because of the effort they put in yesterday but get comfortable and stop pushing, forgetting that success fades. Comfort leads to decline but consistency sustains your success.
Do not forget the source of your blessings. Never forget who made your success possible. Some of us pray day and night seeking God’s blessings but the moment success comes, they forget God. Do not let success distance you from God. Remember your struggles and how many battles God won for you and the doors He opened when there was no one to help you. Stay thankful, stay humble, and keep God at the center of your journey.
Do not ignore your parents if they are still alive. Your parents prayed for you, they sacrificed their comfort and carried your dreams in their hearts. They are your support system. Do not wound their spirit. Do not get so busy that you forget those who built your foundation. Their blessings and prayers are part of your success story. Honour them while you still can.
So, when God blesses you, be kind but not stupid, stay humble, stay faithful, and give Him the Lead role.
