PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

"This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live." (Deut. 30:19) This frames the power of choice as the ultimate decision between following God's path or turning away from it.
"Satan cannot force your hand" means that the devil does not have the ultimate authority or power to make you commit a sin, change your eternal destiny, or force you into actions against your will. He can only tempt, deceive, or influence, but the final choice always remains with you.
Who is Satan?
He is a murderer and a liar (John 8:44)
He is a thief, destroyer, killer (John 10:10)
He can make hearts grow cold (Mat. 24:12)
He is an influencer
Puts people under pressure and
He is a master manipulator.
He is only powerful where ignorance thrives.
He never attacks his own (Mat. 12:26)
He enters into partnership with those who have lost their RIGHT MIND.
He becomes the CEO where hopelessness is the stock in trade.
Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing?” (Acts 5:3-4 NIV)
The excuse we give that ‘Satan makes you do it or it is the work of the devil’ sounds reasonable but the decision to do whatever it is, is entirely yours. Jesus said: “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only. Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.” (Mat. 4:10-11) This is what it means to “Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7) Satan has no power over any of us. He acts under authority (Job 2:6). God is faithful and He will not allow His own to be tempted beyond what we can bear and is ready to throw us the lifeline needed (1 Cor. 10:13). You are never alone. Those in the light of God are Satan’s target. You probably did nothing wrong. But do not open the door for Satan to come and dwell. Sin opens doors to him.
How can you avoid Satan’s traps? Study your Bible. Memorise the word. Know your right in God. Focus on Jesus. Turn your back on the world and look unto the Cross.
THE WORD: “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” (Luke 22:31-32)
